Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico, was born to a family that was devoted to music. When she was a kid, she listened to classical music as well as the traditional Boleros. Also, she listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a lover of opera, tangos and all forms of dramatic performance. Ana began to study singing and play the piano from an early age, along by her mother. She was given more formal vocal instruction at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The singer continued her education in the field of music with the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and young professional, she performed in numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. The year 2000 saw her move into America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2007, she settled in her present home in Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist with classic Latin American music at private concerts. Being a teacher and a musician, she is committed to several community initiatives because of her passion and enthusiasm for music. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to have the opportunity give others a taste of her love of the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations to keep the music living.
